Patna, May 09: Two teams of Election Commission would today begin probe into complaints of large-scale booth-grabbing in Siwan and Bettiah Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar during the second phase of elections on April 26. The teams, which arrived at the Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport here, left for Siwan and Bettiah. While a two-member fact-finding team of the Commission comprising its Secretary Sanga Ram and Additional Secretary Ashish Chakravorty, left for Siwan, another team comprising the Commission`s Advisor K J Rao and Secretary N N Butolia went to Bettiah.
CPI-ML(L) had complained to the Commission that gunmen of RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin indulged in large-scale rigging in Siwan. Amar Nath Yadav is the CPI-ML(L) candidate for Siwan.
Noted film-maker and independent candidate Prakash Jha had accused RJD and BJP of indulging in booth capturing in Bettiah constituency.
