Range DIG-police replaced by IG in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Aug 31: The Rajasthan government today decided to replace the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) by Inspector General of Police (IG) in eight ranges of the state to monitor law and order effectively, an official said.

Arvind Jain, till now the IG-Law and Order, has been shifted to the Jaipur Range-I, while Ajit Singh who was holding this post as dig for the last five years has been promoted as IG and deputed as IG Udaipur range.
K L Bairwa would be IG-II rural range, whereas Kapil Garg, who had been holding this post, has been promoted as IG and posted at Ajmer Range.
Pukhraj Sirvi would be the new IG-Jodhpur Range, Jaswant Sampatram, Kota Range, while Pradeep Vyas would be in charge of Bharatpur Range.
Meanwhile, DIGs Sunil Mehrotra and Sudhakar Johri have been shifted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Dinesh Sharma to Intelligence (security) police headquarters, and Alok Tripathi and Dalpat Singh to railways.
