Speaker rejects notices for adjournment motion
New Delhi, July 31: Lok Sabha speaker Manohar Joshi today rejected a slew of notices for adjournment motion ranging from Taj heritage corridor to misuse of CBI by government saying he would allow only those which are really important.

Soon after the house assembled, opposition members were on their feet demanding that their adjournment motion notices be taken up.
Joshi said "numerous notices have been received. If I allow everyone to speak, the entire question hour will be lost."
He permitted BJP leader V K Malhotra to speak who demanded that question hour be allowed and that these notices be taken up during zero hour.

Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi (Cong) said opposition has the prerogative to raise issues in the best traditions of Parliament.
As the opposition persisted with its demand, the speaker said he would refer the matter to bac and from Monday he would not allow question hour to be disrupted.
