Nine Azhagiri loyalists taken into preventive custody
Madurai, May 29: Nine supporters of M K Azhagiri, son of DMK chief M Karunanidhi, were taken into preventive custody today in connection with the arrest of Azhagiri, police said.
Madurai, May 29: Nine supporters of M K Azhagiri, son of DMK chief M Karunanidhi, were taken into preventive custody today in connection with the arrest of Azhagiri, police said.
Azhagiri was arrested on May 21 on the charge of
conspiracy in the case of murder of senior DMK leader and
former Tamil Nadu minister T Kiruttinan.
Those taken into custody today include a DMK corporation councillor V K Gurusamy. They were produced before the fourth judicial magistrate Balasubramaniam who remanded them to judicial custody for 15 days. Subsequently, they were taken to Madurai central prison, police said.
