Mumbai, June 29: Western Railway (WR) has introduced its new schedule for main line trains with effect from July 1. The WR would be starting a new Mumbai-Ajmer tri-weekly train leaving on every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 1.50 pm and reaching Ajmer at 9.35 am next day, a WR release said here today.
Similarly, Ajmer-Mumbai central train will leave from Ajmer at 5.00 pm on every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday and arrive at Mumbai central at 12.35 pm the next day, it said.
Okha-Guvahati-Okha weekly express train will leave at 10.50 am every Friday and reach Guwahati at 1.00 pm the third day, it said. It would depart from Guwahati at 9.30 am on every Monday and arrive at Okha at 6.35 am the third day.
A few trains announced in the railway budget including Bandra terminus-Surat Express (daily), Indore-Nagpur Express (weekly), new Memu train between Virar and Dahanu road (shuttle train), Bandra terminus-Bhavnagar Express (daily) and Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar Intercity Express (daily) would be introduced after completion of various works at Bandra terminus and Bhavnagar, the release said.
WR has also extended Howrah-Hapa bi-weekly express service upto Porbandar. Jamnagar-Rajkot-Ahmedabad Express (daily) has been extended upto Surat from July five, 2003.
The Ahmedabad-Varanasi weekly express has been extended upto Okha. The Indore-Gwalior weekly express has been extended upto Bhind and Bandra terminus-Gandhidham Sayaji Nagari Express has been extended upto new Bhuj.
