Madurai, Sept 25: Judicial Magistrate Vanitha on September 17 asked DMK supremo Karunanidhi's son M K Azhagiri and 12 others allegedly involved in the murder of former DMK Minister T Kiruttinan to appear before the court for accepting the chargesheet today.
Azhagiri's advocate argued that he was not in a position to come to Madurai, though he had accepted the Magistrate Court's summon as the High Court had asked him to stay at Bangalore under conditional bail. It would require ten days for him to obtain the High Court's permission and come to Madurai to accept the charge sheet.
Government pleader Rajani argued that Azhagiri had committed contempt of court by not appearing before the court after accepting the summon. She also said that Azhagiri should be given only two days' time to appear before the court and accept the chargesheet.

The Magistrate after hearing both the arguements posted the case for september 25 and directed all the 13 persons to appear before the court for accepting the chargesheet on that date.
