Bangalore, Sept 22: Rashtriya Janata Dal President
Laloo Prasad Yadav today demanded that the CBI and the Uttar
Pradesh government should appeal in the High Court against the
special court verdict exonerating Deputy Prime Minister L K
Advani in the Babri Masjid demolition case.
"It is public knowledge that Advani was the architect of
the Babri Masjid demolition...So, I am demanding that the CBI
and UP government should immediately appeal against the
verdict in the High Court," Yadav told reporters here today.
Stating that there should not be two laws, Yadav
reiterated his charge that Advani was the "architect" of the
Babri Masjid demolition and it was done "under his
leadership."
"They (BJP) came to power through ram and they are losing power through Ram," he said.
Earlier, after seeing the "Akshaya Patra" mid-day meal scheme of Iskcon Temple here, Yadav said, political parties should not use caste and religion to divide the country.
He said Lord Krishna should be an inspiration to the people to weed out corruption, harassment and hatred in the society.
Inspired by the mid-day meal scheme, Yadav said, his party's government would support Iskcon in this endeavour and called for replicating the scheme across the country.
