Congress MPs, MLAs skip Salve`s meeting
Nagpur, Aug 17: Congress MPs and MLAs from Vidarbha region did not attend the pro-Vidarbha Congress workers meeting under the chairmanship of former Union minister N K P Salve, who quit the party today to float `Vidarbha Congress`.

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Ranjeet Deshmukh, considered close to Salve, was away at his native place of Katol and was not available for comments.
Convened by former MP Banwarilal Purohit, the meeting was however attended by former Congress ministers and legislators including T G Deshmukh, Ashok Dhawad, Madhukar Kimmatkar, Bhau Mulak, Vinod Gudhhe Patil, Madhukar Wasnik, Haribhau Naik, Krishnarao Pandav along with Haribhau Kedar, S Q Zama of Intuc and Nagpur district rural Congress president Baburao Zade and other party workers.
