Rome, May 04: Paradorn Srichaphan and Radek Stepanek go through to second round of Rome Masters tennis. Tenth seed Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand beat Alessio Di Mauro of Italy 7-6 3-6 6-3 in Rome on Monday (May 3). The Thai player seemed to lose concentration in the first set tie-break and subsequently lost the second set, but recovered to finish strongly. Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic beat Goran Ivanisevic of Croatia 6-2 6-4, finishing the match with an ace. David Ferrer of Spain advanced by beating Davide Sanguinetti of Italy 6-3 2-6 6-3, while Tommy Haas of Germany was beaten by Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 7-5 4-6 7-6. In other matches Andrei Pavel (Romania) beat Nicolas Lapentti (Ecuador) 6-4 6-3
