New Delhi, Aug 25: Maintaining that it was committed to the formation of a secular alternative in up, the Congress today said the political developments in the state have vindicated "our" stand that the "unnatural" BSP-BJP coalition would collapse under its own contradictions. "The development in Lucknow today have not changed our stand stated in the memorandum submitted to UP Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri to explore possibility of forming an alternative government,” party spokesman S Jaipal Reddy told reporters.
Stating that the developments in Lucknow were "highly predictable" as predicted by "all of us. We have been saying from the very beginning that this "unnatural" alliance would collapse on its own contradictions".
