Irving, May 18: Fiji's Vijay Singh retained the lead after the third round of the Byron Nelson Championship.
Singh, who was in front by a shot after 36 holes, is still on top by the same margin after a steady round of 69 which gives him a 11-under total. Just behind him is American Jeff Sluman, while England's Luke Donald and Cameron Beckman are two shots behind Singh. "I played solid, didn't miss too many shots. We all play to be in position to win on Sunday, and I'm in the best position," said Singh. David Toms shot the day's best round, a 65, to pull within four strokes of the lead. "I've been tired all week, mentally and physically," admitted Toms, who won last week's Wachovia Championship, despite a quadruple bogey at the final hole. "I'm exhausted. I'm trying to hang in there, do the best I can. It takes a lot out of you when you win."
