New Delhi, May 30: Apparently in sync with the new-found thaw between the two countries, India and Pakistan today hinted at the possibility of joint inspection of projects under the Indus Waters Treaty but no decision was taken on Islamabad's demand for neutral experts on the Baglihar hydel project in Jammu and Kashmir. "There was discussion on possibility of two general tours of inspection, one each in either country during 2003-04 in keeping with the provisions of the treaty,” said a press release issued after a three-day meeting of Indus commissioners from both countries. Asked about the issue of inspection of river projects, Pakistan Indus Commissioner Jamait Ali Shah said, "Whatever arrangements are given in the treaty, we are moving ahead. I am totally satisfied.” To a question on Islamabad's demand for neutral experts for Baglihar hydroelectric project, Shah said, "They (India) have said they will respond in due course of time.” Bureau Report
