Jodhpur, Dec 08: a witness has told the court trying the poaching case against Bollywood actor Salman Khan that police had taken into possession the knife used for chopping the chinkaras from the actor's brother Sohail Khan. Witness Daulat Ram, deposed before Chief Judicial Magistrate Narsingh Dasvy yesterday, said that police had recovered from Sohail Khan the knife and had sealed it.
Another important witness Angad Lal, a forester, deposed before the court that assistant forest ranger Lalit Bora had recovered the jeep used at the time of hunting from Arun Yadav's house on October 7, 1998.
The jeep had some blood marks, some hairs and some pieces of the skin.
The witness also recorded that the metre-reading of the jeep was taken when taken into possession.
Four witnesses were produced in the court of which the statements of three were recorded by the prosecution in the poaching case against Khan and others.

The statement of three witnesses recorded included --Daulat Ram, Om Prakash Joshi and Angad Lal.
The statement of Shiv Chand Bohra could not be recorded as the CJM disallowed the statement to be taken till some documents were produced before the court yesterday as these were demanded by Salman Khan's advocate Hasti Mal Saraswat.
