Several MPs and Parliament staff on Friday bade a tearful farewell to Rajya Sabha security assistant J P Yadav who was killed by terrorists on Thursday.
The body of 32-year-old Yadav was brought in a coffin to Parliament House this afternoon from the hospital after post-mortem and later taken by road to his native village in Rajasthan for the last rites.
Rajya Sabha deputy chairperson Najma Heptulla and Parliament staff laid wreaths on the coffin and paid their last respects.
Yadav, who was shot when he had first challenged the terrorists, is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. He had joined the watch and ward department of Rajya Sabha in 1995.
