New Delhi, July 08: Delhi Police today claimed to have unearthed a racket involving manufacture and circulation of fake medicines by arresting three persons and seizing 80 kgs of spurious drugs worth lakhs of rupees of major multi-national companies. The drugs were seized in a series of raids in Safala Market of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh by Special Cell personnel last night following arrest of two kingpins Pawan Varshney and his brother Rahul, police said.

Pawan and Rahul were arrested in Delhi three days ago in connection with a seizure of drugs in the capital on May 27, they said.
One Pradeep Sharma of Meerut was also nabbed on charges of harbouring the two absconding accused, police said, adding two brothers of Pawan and Rahul are absconding.
Pawan and Rahul, along with their two brothers, were allegedly involved in the illegal activity for the last six years and were reportedly supplying spurious drugs to entire up and Delhi, they said. Bureau Report
