Bank of Maharashtra net goes up by 53%
New Delhi, May 30: Bank of Maharashtra has recorded a 53% jump in net profit for the year 2002-2003. The bank`s total business crossed Rs 32,000 crore, recording a growth of 15.67% over the previous year.
New Delhi, May 30: Bank of Maharashtra has recorded a 53% jump in net profit for the year 2002-2003. The bank’s total business crossed Rs 32,000 crore, recording a growth of 15.67% over the previous year.
Net profit as on March 31, 2003 stood at Rs 222.02 crore, 53% higher than Rs 145.41 crore reported the previous year.
Operating Profit stood at Rs 520.58 crore, 25.43 % higher than last year’s profit of Rs 415.04 crore. Operating profit as percentage to average working fund increased from 2.06% to 2.32% as on March 31, 2003. Total income went up 5.92% to Rs 2,442.15 crore from Rs 2,305.58 crore in the previous year.
