Gwalior, May 18: VHP today said it would support only those MPs who were in favour of the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya during the next Lok Sabha polls. "VHP would play an active role against candidates who would not support Ram Temple construction during the next parliamentary elections," its international general secretary Praveen Togadia said here today.
Addressing a public meeting near Akhileshwar Temple here after offering prayers, he said in such constituencies, VHP would hang banners saying that the "candidates were not supporters of Lord Ram but that of Babar." About his recent arrest by the Rajasthan government, Togadia said the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had acted as a "marketing manager" for his organisation. Earlier on his arrival from New Delhi by Shatabdi Express, the VHP leader was welcomed among others by local BJP MLA, Jai Bhan Singh Pawaiyya.
