"BJP will throw its lot behind it (Karunanidhi's demand) to find whether there was any negligence on the part of the hospitals," BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit chief C P Radhakrishnan told reporters here. The DMK chief had alleged lapses in the treatment of Maran at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi as well as in corporate Apollo Hospital here and demanded a probe by the Centre.
