Hyderabad, Oct 10: Continuing her dream run, teen tennis sensation Sania Mirza defeated Silawan Choptang of Thailand 6-1 6-3 to enter the semifinals of the second USD 10,000 ITF tournament at Jakarta yesterday.
The GVK sponsored Sania played a high class game to brush aside the meek challenge of Choptang as the match ended up in a one sided affair, paving way for Sania to enter the last four stage with ease and elegance, according to information received here.
Sania started off in great style, packing more power into her serves and ground strokes to baffle her opponent by taking a thumping 5-0 lead.
Choptang just about managed to hold serve for the first time in the match before Sania served out the first set.
Pooling up her skills, the Thai girl put up a brave fight and at one stage led 3-2, but Sania improved her game by a few notches to win the next four games in a row with some flowing cross court shots on either flanks to win the match and a place in the semifinals where she would me local girl Montinee Tangphong.



Sania's juggernaut rolled on in the doubles too as she pairing with Rushmi Chakravarthi entered the last four stage defeating Eny Sulistyowati and Mimma Chernovita of Indonesia 6-2 6-1.
