Thirteen Israeli soldiers, all of them reservists, were killed in a ferocious battle in the Palestinian refugee camp in Jenin in the northern West Bank, an army spokesman said. They were killed when a number of booby-trap explosives blew up a building which crushed them, the spokesman said on Tuesday. Another soldier was seriously injured. The deaths were the Israeli army`s worst single loss in more than 18 months of fighting against the Palestinian initifada--uprising. Bureau Report
