Vadodara, May 25: A local court here has attached properties of the two main accused in the Godhra carnage in Godhra town and Hamirpur village in Panchmahal district after they failed to surrender. The railway police had asked them to surrender on atleast three occasions. The duo, Farukh Bhana and Ismail Yusuf Yunga, are disqualified members of Godhra civic body and were in the core team which set S-6 coach of Sabarmati Express on fire burning 59 Ram Sevaks alive and injuring many others. At the instance of Maulana Hussain Umarji, prime accused and under judicial custody at present, the team members torched the coach. The court had asked police to attach properties of several other absconders wanted in connection with the case.
Several other members of the team were yet to be arrested, police added.
