Jammu, Oct 10: Jammu and Kashmir PCC president Ghulam Nabi Azad tonight said his party was in touch with independents and other smaller parties to form a coalition government with the PDP. He, however, said no formal talks have yet started in this regard.
"We have been in touch with some independent candidates ever since the election period and they had assured us of their cooperation in forming the government, if we fall short of majority," he said.
Claiming National Conference has become an "untouchable" in the current circumstances, Azad said he did not foresee any independent candidate supporting them even if the governor calls the NC for government formation it being the single largest party. Bureau Report
