Munich, May 28: Bayern Munich, who have already secured an 18th German title, are chasing a domestic double when they play Kaiserslautern in the German Cup final on May 31 in Berlin. As Bayern Munich prepared for Saturday's German Cup final against Kaisterlautern, goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has said he would stay at Bayern Munich for another three years.
"Looking at the World Cup I believe it is wise to stay in my own country and apart from that, my heart belongs to Bayern," said Kahn on Tuesday (May 27). Earlier this month he said he might consider a move abroad and had been linked to several clubs including English premier league champions Manchester United. "One does think about other clubs and greater possibilities than the ones at Bayern Munich. I think there is none," said the Bayern and Germany skipper, who has been at the club since 1994 and has a contract until 2006.

Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld said in March he was worried Kahn might leave if he continued to face media pressure over his personal life.

Kahn made headlines in Germany for weeks after admitting he had an affair with a barmaid while his wife was pregnant. Kaiserslautern, who finished the league in 14th place, continued their preparations for Saturday's final.

Speaking at a news conference, coach Eric Gertz said that a victory over Bayern would be a a nice end to their season. "I dont believe my players will go onto the field on Saturday and think, 'Oh well, we are going to play in Europe next year anyway."

"I think well go out there saying If we make it today and win the Cup then we not only did well the entire season but achieved a sensational result," Gertz said.

But Gertz admitted that "Bayern is by far the best teamthis season and if we succeed to beat this team it certainly would be a nice end to a turbulent season."
