Na Tum Jaano Na Hum (NTJNH) is the inaugural venture of PFH Entertainment Ltd., the entertainment company of the leading national retailer Pantaloon. Directed by Arjun Sablok, who started his career as an actor in Yash Chopra’s Vijay. The unusual thing about the movie is that in an era of Internet, emails, chat rooms, phones and cellphones, the movie totally depends on letter and the Indian postal services.
However, this seems to be a bad year for Hrithik, NTJNH is his second consecutive flop after Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage.
It’s a love triangle between Akshay (Saif Khan), Rahul (Hrithik Roshan) and Esha ( Esha Deol). Akshay and Rahul are thick friends with a special bond, but the director has tried putting different shades to their characters. Rahul is the romantic sort, who feels that his sole aim in life is to find that someone special. Akshay is the ‘down to earth’ person that lives life as it comes. He intends to remain a bachelor all his life. Esha is the type of a girl who knows what she wants. She is positive that the only thing that matters between two people is the meeting of the heart. And it does not matter if you don`t meet each other at all.
Esha (Esha Deol) and photographer Rahul (Hrithik Roshan) first hear each other on Radio FM, through a request programme. Esha, who is still in school in Shimla, dedicates her song to a person who believes in love.
The movie rolls on with Esha falling in love with a stranger whereby ‘chithis’ play an important role to help blossom their love. Rahul flies to Shimla on some photography assignment. And around that time Esha’s grandfather decides to get her married to a boy her aunt has known since he was a kid.

This is where Akshay’s (Saif Ali Khan) part comes and he sends his best friend Rahul to meet his wife to be. And then the love triangle commences. Esha loves her penpal and both bachpan ke dost love Esha.
Movie after the interval seems confusing. The scripting is poor because the movie doesn’t look convincing enough. However, there a few pluses to the movie. The background music, cinematography and some emotional scenes help the movie a bit. Contrary to his other numbers, Rajesh Roshan’s music is boring. Background music is wonderful and cinematography by Manoj Soni is eye catching with some brilliant shots of foreign locales.
The movie centres around the three characters. The supporting characters don’t have much of a role to play. Sablok has concentrated his energies on Esha and she has done a great job. She looks mature and presentable. Hrithik’s performance is worth a mention too.
