New Delhi, July 29: Centre's interlocutor N N Vohra today said the next round of "intensive" discussions with various groups in Jammu and Kashmir would be on "specific issues" being identified during the current round of interactions.
Vohra, who will undertake a week-long visit to Ladakh on Sunday for discussions with various groups there, told a news agency here that his interactions during the earlier trips to
Kashmir Valley and Jammu province have been "satisfactory".
"Once the first phase is over, stage will be set for a more intensive dialogue on specific issues identified during the current interactions," said the Centre's pointman who is yet to hear the separatist viewpoint.
"The interactions during the first phase will help create a foundation of understanding about aspirations of the people of the three region," he said. He has already undertaken nine-day trip to Kashmir Valley and seven-day visit to Jammu region.
In Ladakh, he is scheduled to meet leaders of the Leh and Kargil autonomous hill development councils, political parties including Congress, National Conference, BJP and PDP, besides Buddhist, Islamic organisations and any other group or individuals.
Before undertaking the Ladakh trip, he has briefed Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the progress of his talks besides holding series of discussions with Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and state Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed after his visits to Kashmir and Jammu.
