Kolkata, Oct 02: Civil Aviation Minister Shahnawaz Hussain said the Trinamool Congress would have to decide whether or not it would remain in the NDA but declined comment on the stand taken by the party. "It is upto the Trinamool Congress to decide whether they will remain in the NDA," he told newsmen here after a meeting organised by BJP to protest the terrorist attack on the Akshardham Temple in Gujarat and other places.
He, however, refused comment when asked whether Trinamool Congress was still in the NDA.
TC chief Mamata Banerjee had earlier said that her party would not have any truck with NDA till the Centre took corrective steps on the bifurcation of Eastern Railway, which incidentally came into effect yesterday.
With the Centre's refusal to re-consider the decision, she had indicated that TC might sever all ties with the ruling coalition in the coming days.

Earlier, addressing the meeting, Hussain, without naming TC, said that the BJP-led NDA was strong enough irrespective of whether any party stayed with it or left.
On the Akshardham Temple massacre, Hussain said it was aimed at creating tension in the country but the BJP government in Gujarat as well as at the Centre foiled the attempt.
He also had a dig at NDA's political opponents saying that they were frustrated since the bjp government had ensured that peace prevailed in the country inspite of the temple attack. Bureau Report
