Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi has said the splitting of the state unit of the BJP is the outcome of the nationwide resentment within the party.
Talking to newspersons in Raipur on Thursday, he brushed aside the allegations of planning a strategy for a division in the BJP. ''The BJP leaders, frustrated with their party developments, are levelling baseless allegations,'' he said, adding, ''I have nothing to do with the party split.''
Asked whether the split would entail gains for his party, he said, ''I do not know whether it is a blessing for the Congress, but it is certainly going to be difficult for the BJP.''. This was also going to have an affect on the four states, including Uttar Pradesh, where elections were slated early next year, he added.
