Bangalore, May 13: The RSS today said Pakistan's that response to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee's peace initiatives is "insincere, non-serious and just to please certain forces." Whenever political process starts between the two countries, India should tell Pakistan categorically that the basis for dialogue should only be the 1994 resolution of Indian Parliament, RSS spokesman Ram Madhav said.

"India should categorically state that the only outstanding issue to be settled between the two countries is the status of Pak-occupied Kashmir. How and when are they going to return PoK," he told a news conference here.

He said that Indo-Pak dialogue should be held in the spirit of the 1972 Shimla Agreement.

Madhav debunked suggestions that Vajpayee announced the peace initiatives following us pressure, saying that the suggestion to that effect "is in a way an insult to them (PM and his colleagues) and questioning their integrity."

Describing Vajpayee and his colleagues as statesmen, he said that the Prime Minister was standing up to "pressure tactics" and taking steps in national interest.
Stating that India's "accommodativeness and liberal approach had led to shrinking of border in the past,” Madhav said the Line of Control should never be accepted as International Border.
