New Delhi, Jan 04: Delhi Police today told a Delhi court that Amit, the second accused in Maulana Azad Medical College student gangrape case, was a major even as it reserved order for Monday on main accused Rahul's plea for summoning hospital records to ascertain if he was a minor. Police submitted the ossification test report of Amit before metropolitan magistrate Bharat Parashar claiming the accused was aged between 19 and 21 years. Earlier, the ossification test of Rahul had contradicted his school records that showed him as a minor and "confirmed" that the prime accused was a major. On the last date of hearing on December 24, Rahul's counsel Ajay Diglaul had questioned the report and requested the court to summon records of the hospital where the accused was born. The court will pass orders on his plea on January 6.

Rahul and Amit are in judicial custody till January 16 while two other minor accused are in juvenile observation home. One Ashok who was arrested for allegedly giving shelter to Rahul is out on bail. The sixth accused - Mohan Lal - from whom the cell phone of the victim was recovered, is also in judicial custody after a sessions court rejected his bail plea on December 11.

A week after the sensational incident, Rahul was arrested by police on November 22.
