San Marino, June 22: Championship leader Neil Hodgson clinched pole position for Sunday's World Superbike races in San Marino.
The British rider clocked one minute, 34.586 seconds on his Ducati-999 to edge team-mate Pierfrancesco Chili of Italy by 0.33 seconds.
Briton James Toseland rode his Ducati into third place at Misano, 0.53 back, with Italy's Vittorio Iannuzzo, on a Suzuki, in fourth.
Australian Steve Martin and Frenchman Regis Laconi, both on Ducatis, were fifth and sixth.

Hodgson enters the two-race event - the seventh round of the championship - with 11 wins in the season's 12 races. He leads the World Superbike Championship by 130 points.
