Itanagar, Sept 10: About 9000 BJP activists including state executive members today staged a dharna in front of the state executive to press for their six-point charter of demands. The activists shouted slogans against the ruling Congress government for its " failure to meet the aspirations of the people". The demands highlighted during the four -hour dharna which began at 9 am included judicious implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, repeal of Arunachal Pradesh control of organised crime act-2002, review of the introduction of sales tax levied by the state government, resolution of the Assam-Arunachal boundary problem, release of bonus to state government employees and enhancement of pay scale of police personnel as per fifth pay commission recommendations.
