Oct 08: We all know that celebrities get inundated with freebies, from clothes to cars, and everything in between. Which is why, when they seek out and return to a product over and over again, the rest of us better take notice. Because, let's face it, the stars have indulged in the kind of comparison shopping that makes Consumer Reports look amateur.
When it comes to beauty products, it's no wonder that in a town obsessed with close ups, the glitterati are obsessed with their skin. To hydrate, porcelain-skinned beauties like Nicole Kidman and Michelle Pfeiffer swear by Aēsop's all-natural Fabulous Face Oil, an addictive blend of Juniper Berry, Ylang Ylang, and Jasmine Petal, while Hugh Jackman is man enough to admit adoring Astara's Golden Flame Hydration Mask, with its delicious cucumber scent. To camouflage, none other than the (seemingly) facially flawless Winona Ryder turns to Joey New York's Pure Pores Hide and Heal, a concealer that simultaneously helps clear the skin of blemishes. Finally, to perfect, a who's who of gorgeous ladies, from Tori Amos to Tina Turner, turn to the man that made them up, literally: the late, great Kevin Aucoin. His Sensual Skin Enhancer, a kind of über-concealer, is a totally unique complexion perfector. Speaking of perfection, Kirsten Dunst gets her good-girl glow from Delux Beauty's new Liquid Pearl face and body luminizer, while none other than Madonna takes a powder with venerable Parisian brand T. Leclerc's Loose Powder in Banane Doree. (J. Lo, Carmen Kass, and Geri Halliwell also make like the material girl and opt for the yellow-tinted powder.) And, while celebs may LOOK perfect, they get dirty just like the rest of us. Unlike us, however, they have their choice of pampering products when it comes to getting squeaky-clean: lovely Jennifer Connelly is partial to SCO's Body Polish, infused with Peppermint, Rosemary, and Caffeine, while a number of celebs (from Serena Williams to Sharon Osbourne) jump start their days with Molton Brown's invigorating Warming Eucalyptus Bath & Shower Therapy.
