Jammu, Oct 14: Small arms and artillery firing continued between Indian and Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LoC) and international border in Jammu and Kashmir where one woman was also injured in mine blast since last evening, defence sources said here today. Pakistani troops targeted forward Indian posts in Drass sector with artillery fire from 0200 hours forcing Indian forces to retaliate, the sources said, adding the artillery fire continued between the two sides for two hours without causing any damage on Indian side.
Exchange of machine gun fire between Indian and Pakistani troops was reported in Kupwara sector and small arms fire in Siachen glacier during last night, they said.
Intermittent firing exchange between two sides along IB took place at Kanachak, Panjore, dub Sudan, Lalyal, Dhera Camp, Nippu, Beli Azmat, Chorgali, Gole Pattan, Chinore Farm, Budhwar, Pital Post, Mehtra Post, Zero Point and Kote Kuba in Jammu district since yesterday, the sources said.
