New Delhi, Nov 26: BJP dissidents in Uttar Pradesh are ready to lower the banner of revolt provided the party's central leadership was prepared to talk to them individually, said a leading dissident, Ramashish Rai, today. "Even today if we are individually consulted and our views are accepted, the party's declining position in the state could be checked," he said here.
Rai blamed the state unit leaders specially state minister Lalji Tandon for the present political crisis in the state and dissidence in the party.
"The central leadership did not talk to any of us on the ongoing crisis in the state even though we had sent details of the political developments in the state to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, HRD minister M M Joshi and party president M Venkaiah Naidu. They failed to take any steps to resolve the crisis," Rai told.
Rai who along with some other dissidents is here, was unable to meet any of the top party leaders. Bureau Report
