Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 25: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) general secretaries, Rajmohan Unnithan and T Saratchandra Prasad, were today suspended from the party on the charges of indiscipline.
In a statement here, party acting president PP Thankachan said they were suspended for making ''baseless allegations'' against senior Congress leader K Karunakaran, electricity minister K Muraleedharan and PCC executive member Padmaja Venugopal.
He said the PCC disciplinary action committee had been asked to conduct a detailed inquiry into the issues which led to the suspension and submit recommendations.
Meanwhile, Prasad announced that he would begin a fast-unto-death before the Indira Bhavan, the PCC headquarters, today in protest against what he described ''jungle justice'' meted out to them by the PCC leadership.
Both Unnithan and Prasad had charged that money transfer had taken place in the allotment of tickets for certain Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
