Colombo, Aug 22: Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe leaves for Chennai today to deliver the 'Millennium Lecture 2003' organised by the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation tomorrow.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by his wife Maitree Wickremesinghe during his two-day visit to India.
A top official of the Prime Minister's office said Wickremesinghe will also participate in the inauguration ceremony of the 'virtual academy for food security and rural prosperity', an institute affiliated to the Swaminathan Foundation the same day.
Editor-in-chief of Hindu Group of Publications N Ram will introduce Wickremesinghe at the 'Millennium Lecture 2003' at the triple helix auditorium of Central Leather Research Institute of India while M S Swaminathan, chairman of the foundation, will also be present on the occasion.
