Anti-dumping duty on Vitamin E from China
New Delhi, Sept 02: The Directorate General of Allied Duties (DGAD) has recommended anti-dumping duty on imports of Vitamin-E from China.
New Delhi, Sept 02: The Directorate General of Allied Duties (DGAD) has recommended anti-dumping duty on imports of Vitamin-E from China.
In its final findings, the designated authority recommended imposition of anti-dumping duty equal to the difference between 22.64 US dollar per kg for 96 per cent grade Vitamin E Acetate from China, 21.94 dollar per kg Vitamin E Acetate of 93 per cent grade, 11.32 dollar per kg of 50 per cent grade of Vitamin E feed grade of dry powder and the landed value.
The authority in a notification dated August 22, 2003, said it considered necessary to impose anti-dumping duty on all imports of Vitamin E in order to remove injury to the domestic industry.
DGAD had recommended provisional anti-dumping duty on December 02, 2002. It had initiated action on a petition filed by Merck Ltd.
In another case, the authority recommended anti-dumping duty on imports of Para Cresol from China, according to a notification issued on August 25, 2003.
DGAD recommended duty equal to the difference between 2220.95 dollar per metric tonne and landed value of imports.
