Jammu, May 06: Security forces shot dead two top Pakistani militants, including a divisional commander of Jemait-e-Mujahideen in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir today, official sources said. On a specific information that a group of militants have taken shelter in forest hideout in Choki Mora area of Rajouri district, security forces launched a 'seek and destroy' operation, the sources said.

As the militants fired on troops from a hill top, they retaliated resulting in a fierce gunbattle, they said.
Two top Pak militants were killed, the sources said adding operation was still on to track down some militants, who escaped during encounter.

The slain militants were identified as Saifullah, divisional commander, JEM and Qadir Khan, both belonging to Pakistan, the sources said.

The recoveries made from the encounter site included two AK rifles, three magazines, seven grenades, three wireless sets, two IEDs, 172 rounds and three diaries, the sources said Bureau Report
