Mumbai, May 27: IT training major Aptech Ltd has bagged a Rs seven crore order from Orissa government to train primary and upper primary teachers in subjects, including English and computer literacy, using multimedia technology. The first phase would cover 300 government schools in the state, Aptech said in a release today. In the second phase, to be implemented three months after the completion of the first phase and with an estimated incremental revenue of Rs three crore, another 150 schools would be covered and teachers would undergo refresher training programmes, the release said. Aptech would install requisite hardware and software. The hardware would be installed under "build, own, operate and transfer" basis, it said. The tenure of the project is five years and on completion, the infrastructure would be transferred to the state government, it added.
