New Delhi, Aug 27: Boeing Commercial Airplanes has disbanded its corporate office in India and recalled the Indian expatriate heading the operation to its headquarters. The Indian operations would now be controlled directly out of Seattle. ''Shubendoo Ray, the in-charge of Indian office, has been recalled to Seattle and he will now assist me in addressing this market from there," Dinesh Keskar, president of Boeing Aircraft Trading said.
The company is lobbying hard for the Air-India order. Stating that the Boeing 777 series is an ideal fit for A-I's fleet acquisition plan, the firm has now offered to buy back A-I's existing fleet of five 747s. Bureau Report
