Over 1.50 lakh pilgrims had darshan of holy ice lingam at Amarnath
Jammu, Aug 08: Over 1.50 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at holy cave shrine of Lord Shiva at Amarnath located at an altitude of 3880 meters in south Kashmir Himalayas till today, according to official sources here.
Jammu, Aug 08: Over 1.50 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at holy cave shrine of Lord Shiva at Amarnath located at an altitude of 3880 meters in south Kashmir Himalayas till today, according to official sources here.
Of them 1.42 lakh pilgrims have returned to their respective places across India after performing darshan of holy ice lingam in cave shrine so far, they said.
While, a total of 1,09,803 pilgrims have visited cave shrine via Pahalgam, 4,1945 have visited via Baltal making a total of 1,51,748 pilgrims who had darshan at Amarnath so far, they said.
The 30th batch of 445 pilgrims today left for Amarnath from here amid tight security. The batch comprising of 309 males, 76 females, 8 children and 32 sadhus left in 27 vehicles from Mam Stadium around 0530 hours today, the sources said.
With today batch, as many as 72319 pilgrims have left Jammu for Pahalgam since July 9, when yatra commenced.
