Islamabad, May 18: Claiming that it has no training camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen has denied that any of its members have been arrested by the authorities. "There is no issue of arrest. Pakistan government has time and again made it clear to the international community that there does not exist any camp of Mujahideen in PoK," Hizb leader Syed Salahuddin told a radio station yesterday.

"When there are no Mujahideen, the question of arrests or disarming them does not arise", he said reacting to reports of arrests of Hizbul members.

Salahuddin claimed that the camps of his organisation existed on the Indian side of the LoC. "They exist in forests and mountainous area of Kashmir".

Commenting on the latest Indo-Pak peace initiative, Salahuddin said, "we believe in talks and welcome them provided India is sincere and serious in the whole process of negotiations".

On the issue of third party mediation, he said "Pakistan and India may start talks. But the people whose fate they are deciding will have to be involved in the talks in the first, second or third phase of talks".

Denying any pressure on his group to limit its activities, the Hizb leader asked "why should someone would exert pressure on us".

"Ours is a indigenous movement. It is indigenous movement of Kashmiris. We did not start it on someone's behalf nor with someone's help. The question of pressure of stopping the movement does not arise."
