New York, Dec 08: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's husband Asif Ali Zardari has claimed had it not been for the terror attacks in the us two years ago, the Pakistani People's Party would have won elections hands down. "If it was not for 9/11, he (Musharraf) could not kept Benazir from coming (to Pakistan). He couldn't have changed all those laws," he said in an interview. "Dumb luck" was on the side of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, a bitter Zardari said in an interview published in the 'New York Times' magazine. "Musharraf is basically a wolf in sheep's clothing: he is playing with the world," he said. During the rambling conversation, the jailed husband of the leader of the Pakistan People' Party, denied any wrongdoing and himself brought up the subject of a 180,000 dollar necklace which his wife is said to have bought with "Dirty Money."

"She doesn't need more jewelry. And her family was wealthy. Benazir has more jewelry than she can count," he said.

To him, their legal troubles are part of a conspiracy.

"The world is not Camelot," he remarked.

Zardari, who once bore the "unfortunate" nickname of Mr. Ten per cent for the money he supposedly took off the top while his wife ruled the country, is in jail and met the author during a hearing in the court.
