New Delhi, Mar 25: Cinema tickets and registration of immovable property in Delhi will be cheaper while sweets and luxury cars would be costlier as per the budge proposals of the city government for the financial year 2003-04. Presenting the Rs 2134.60 crore fiscal deficit budget in the assembly today, Delhi finance minister M S Saathi said the budget estimates for the next fiscal had been fixed at Rs 9,800 crore, which includes Rs 5,025 crore for the plan.
Keeping an eye on the assembly polls scheduled in November this year, the congress government offered a number of sops to widows, senior citizens, handicapped and anganwadi workers. Bureau Report
