New Delhi, Sept 11: A day after Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon voiced its concern to India over Iran's nuclear programme, Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazzi today telephoned External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha and discussed his country's programme. The two ministers discussed developments in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding Iran's nuclear programme, official sources said.

Sinha told Kharazzi that "our delegations in Vienna would be in touch with each other."

Meanwhile, sharply reacting to Sharon's "hostile" statement, the Iranian Embassy here said Israel has several hundred nuclear warheads and an arsenal of Weapons of Mass Destruction in its possession. "It does not take part in international agreements controlling weapons of mass destruction which is the most manifest example of insult to the world community and global peace and security," the embassy said in a press release.
