New Delhi, Oct 24: Finance Ministry is considering the demand of Indian steel industry for rationalisation duty in the face of steep fall in global prices of the metal, hitting hard the domestic industry. "The demand for realignment of duty is under consideration." Central Board of Excise and Customs chairman A.K. Singh told reporters.

But he declined to indicate if the realignment could be considered at the time of the budget or earlier.
