Over 15-year-old buses should not ply after July 31: Kerala HC
Kochi, July 10: Kerala High Court today made it clear that the over 15-year-old buses, which had been allowed the six month grace period, should not ply after July 31.
Kochi, July 10: Kerala High Court today made it clear that the over 15-year-old buses, which had been allowed the six month grace period, should not ply after July 31.
The order was issued by Justice C N Ramachandran Nair while considering 105 petitions from bus owners seeking further grant of grace period.
Regional Transport Authorities (RTA)s had taken decision on various dates to ban the buses which were 15 years old. Following this, the bus owners sought grace period and the high court had granted two years time. After that period, the state government had also allowed another six months time which had come to a close.
