Gaya (Bihar), Feb 02: Two people, allegedly involved in the Satyendra Dubey murder case, committed suicide by consuming poison here last night. Police Superintendent Sanjay Kumar said here today that Shivnath Sah and Mukkddar Paswan, both residents of Katari locality in Gaya town, committed suicide by consuming poison. They were rushed to the Magadha Medical College Hospital, but succumbed.

Both the deceased were suspected to be involved in the Satyendra Dubey murder case, the SP said. The two were earlier interrogated by the CBI team investigating the case. Official sources said here that both the suspects were being grilled by the CBI sleuths for the past few days. The investigating agency used to let them off after the day's grilling, the source added.

Yesterday, both the suspects had also been quizzed by the CBI, and on their return, they ate poison.

Meanwhile, the local people blamed the CBI for coming down hard on them during their interrogation. The family members of the deceased were seeking legal consultation on filing a case against the CBI. Satyendra Dubey, an IIT engineer working with the National Highway Authority of India, was abducted and murdered on December 27 last year. His body was later found near the Gaya circuit house.
