New Delhi, Apr 24: A hail storm and heavy showers lashed Delhi early today bringing down the minimum temperature to 17 degrees celsius, giving the city's denizens some respite from the heat. As much as 14 mm rainfall was recorded with hailstones pelting the capital for about half-an-hour, met office said.
The hail storm, the second to hit Delhi in the last three days, brought down the minimum temperature to five degrees below normal.
More rain was likely in the next few days, it said.
