New Delhi, July 03: Honda Siel Cars India on Wednesday reported a 37.5 per cent rise in sales during April-June 2003 at 3,697 units against 2,688 units a year earlier. For the month of June, sale of the mid-size car 'City' went up by 19.4 per cent to 1,208 units from 1,012 units in the same month last year, a company statement said.
The sales of 1,208 cars were also higher by 11.1 per cent as compared to total ('City' and 'Accord) sales of 1,087 cars in June last year.
The June 2003 sales data did not comprise the new 'Accord' figures as the luxury car was yet to be commercially launched in the country.
Honda Siel said the all-new seventh generation 'Accord' and the sports-utility-vehicle 'Honda CR-V' would be commercially launched in the near future.
